Cats have a unique way of drinking water. Instead of scooping water with their tongue, as dogs do, they flick the tip of their tongue on the surface of the water, creating a small column of liquid. They then snap their mouth shut just before gravity pulls the water back down. This method allows cats to drink efficiently while keeping their face dry.
